iTunes 10.5, Can't Sync Music after iTunes Match

I've hit the end of my rope here. I've tried everything from deleting iTunes to restarting my devices. Nothing seems to work.

I can't get the message "iTunes Match is on" to go away when I plug my iPhone with iOS 5 into my Mac. I have turned off the option in both iTunes and on my phone, but it will not download my music. I'm desperate for anyone's help, as it's killing me to have NONE of my music right now. :confused:

I am an iTunes Match beta subscriber, but I'm fine with syncing until it goes "official." Thanks for any help ahead of time.
