iTunes 10 and iPhone 3Gs 4.0.2 : A Syncing Love Story

Hey guys,

I am having pretty deep issues at the moment with iTunes 10 and my iPhone 3Gs, running iOS 4.0.2....

This thing just won't recognize the iPhone at all.

Yes, I have checked the USB ports.
Yes, I have reinstalled iTunes.
Yes, I have tried deleting the iPhone backups.
Yes, I have emailed Steve Jobs.

And, yet my iPhone won't sync to Itunes. Can anyone help out please? It seems I am not the only one having this problem.
