Hi guys

So basically I'm sat here pretty chuffed with my self after putting together a nice Spotify playlist, and iTunes keep randomly playing music?

I've shut it down and stuff, but it literally opens and plays random music tracks.

Is it jealous? :S

What Mac OS X version do you have and what other music applications do you have installed?

Have a look at Activity Monitor ( Applications / Utilities /) and select All Processes and sort by Process Name to see what the culprit may be.

image below uses sorting by CPU as an example

If you don't find the culprit, use the Print feature (Command + P) to create a .pdf and attach it to your next post via the
attach.gif
button.

Do you use iTunes at all? If right click it in the applications folder, click Compress "iTunes" in the menu and delete the app after you do that.

A common reason I've seen when these types of threads pop up is a Dashboard widget, usually an iTunes controller, that's going haywire. Open up your Dashboard and see what widgets you've got there, and close any you don't need.
