So yesterday I rebooted my Mac because it was starting to run slow and it had been a couple of weeks. I logged into it, and my usual programs auto-started, one of them being iTunes.

I didn't touch my computer again for 24 hours. This morning I sit down and I notice that it's really slow right off the bat. Usually after a reboot, this thing is like new.

I go into Activity Monitor, and I see iTunes using 2.93 GB of real memory (I have 8GB). I hadn't done anything on the computer, so there's no reason iTunes' memory usage should be that high.

I quit and re-opened iTunes, and now it's sitting comfortably at 95 MB of real memory usage. I guess from now on, I'll check iTunes' memory usage before I reboot!
