itunes 11.1 beta kill anyone's sound output

figure someone here would be the one that this might have happened to.

My computer won't make any sounds other than the start up chime. I've trying to figure out what might have done it other than a dead sound card since that chime seems to point away from hardware. all i can think of that I have done recently is install 11.1.

anyone else do this and get dead sound

Nope.

Check your System Preferences > Sound > Output.

After I installed LogMeIn it tried to steal my audio. Switched it back...All good in the hood.

first thing I checked. didn't make a difference. thus my question.

Ended up doing a reinstall of the OS, probably needed it anyway for other things.
