iTunes 11 and cover art

Hi.

iTunes 11 does not display the cover art in the sidebar anymore.

How do I change the cover art in a smart way?

PS: I know I can change the cover art by hitting cmd-I. However, that's not smart. In iTunes < 11 I could just drag the photo in the sidebar and finished.
