iPod iTunes 11 not updating play count and last played

Hi!
I'm using my iPod 5g for a while now.. I filled it from my "never listened" smart playlist but when i plug it on my mac iTunes (latest version) does not update play count and "last played" smart playlist.
On the other hand I don't have this problem with my 4S, all is working fine with my iphone.
Anyone who knows what's going on?
