iTunes 12.2.1.16 and Apple Radio playing but no sound.

iTunes 12.2.1.16 will play a few songs (with sound) from my library but then stops emitting sound. The track timer continues to move and I am able to pause and skip tracks but no sound is being played. Speakers are working fine as songs are initially playing.

I am able to listen to Beats 1 but as soon as I try and play one of the other channels the same happens, track timer keeps moving but no sound.
