iTunes 12.2 - Cannot sync non-iTunes bought songs

Hi guys,

I have since re-installed Yosemite and upgraded to iTunes 12.2. My iTunes library is saved on an external hard drive. When I open iTunes, hold down alt and then select the folder on this external hard drive, iTunes loads but:

  • All songs have the iCloud icon next to them
  • Songs which were not downloaded from iTunes are greyed out and unable to be synced to iPhone.
Can anyone help? Would really appreciate it!
