Hi there,

All my library files are on a NAS, but managing my library is way too slow. So I'm thinking I should move the library file(s) to my system ssd, right ?
The straightforward process would be to move everything to the SSD, library and media, and then pointing media back to the NAS via preferences. But I don't have enough room on the SSD to import the media files.

Would it work to move the library file to the SSD, start iTunes with the option key pressed, point to the new library location on the ssd and then somehow telling iTunes the files are still on the NAS ? Or would it screw everything up ?

Thanks for your help. Oh and by the way I'm using iTunes for Windows, but i'm assuming it doesn't make a difference.
