Is there any way to install iTunes 12 on OS X 10.9 Mavericks? I stupidly ran my shared iTunes library in Yosemite and now it can't be used in Mavericks...

Your old Library will be saved in the Music folder under iTunes->Previous iTunes Libraries.
Start iTunes while pressing the Alt key and select your Library from there.
