OK so it seems iTunes 12 has broken on of the coolest features of 11. Having the ability to reconnect files to the correct path in bulk. I moved some songs to my NAS that were already synched to my phone.
The craziest thing this morning is synching after adding some new songs and over 2000 songs already on the phone just got deleted, for why I don't know. Previous versions would just show the ! on songs that were synched but had the location moved.
So how can I get the locations fixed?
In iTunes 11 all I would have to do is locate a file or so in the folder and it would ask me if it wanted to find other missing files in the same new path. Worked great. Now it only finds the one song thats it.
Has the process somehow gotten changed in 12? And why did the songs get deleted in bulk rather then just being identified as not located?
Very frustrating.
I just remembered I upgraded to 8.1.1 yesterday too. Possibly related?
