iTunes 5 ATE MY MUSIC!!!!!

I upgraded from itunes 4.9 to 5.0 and I lost my music from my library. So when I updated my library lost my rating and cover art. How do i get the itunes 4 file to work with itunes 5?

i have no clue, mine worked fine....
but i notice your from long island? i too am from LI, what town you from, i'm from huntington, but in boston for skewl

no problems here either.
Library intact... searching seems faster... search bar might be handy...
no brushed metal - looks slightly out of place with the look of current Mac OS X / Safari / Finder etc.

About to plug in my iPod.

0)Make sure all your music is in your home folder (wherever)
1)Delete the playlist files
2)Open iTunes
3)Go through the setup again
4)Select find files in my home folder

I recommend using the "copy files to music folder when adding to library"

ps: I doubt that your problem has to do with installing 5.0

Yep, I upgraded right after I backed up all my music.

I did not really needed to at the end, but backing up is good anyway.
