Well I'm kinda wondering what's going on. Apple just released the new Mac mini with Front Row, and the hardware page clearly shows a Windows based PC sharing content to the mini. Now in the footnote on the page it says:

All in the family
Let Mac mini and Front Row entertain you by playing songs, slideshows, and videos from other computers in the house.1 Buy new music in the kitchen, play it in your living room. Mac mini automatically finds networked computers under your roof — whether they be wireless or wired. Sounds like magic, but it’s just the Bonjour instant networking technology built into every Mac.

Sharing photos requires iPhoto (i.e. a Mac). Sharing music and videos requires iTunes 6.0.4 or later. Video playback capabilities may vary against network bandwidth.

Where is this iTunes 6.0.4. All I want is my music library to show up in Front Row on my MacBook Pro!

They just put that new mac mini site up a matter of hours ago, be patient and give them a chance. my roommate said his windows computer updated the other day on itunes so I'm sure ours is coming really soon.

Wait a tick and enjoy the speed of your MBP.

Well I don't know what your friend is talking about, but I am sitting here on both machines, the other being a PC and there is no update for iTunes on either platform. But yes, I will be patient. I just like the idea of keeping all my data on the PC and using the Mac to view everything in a nice pretty (Front Row) fashion.

Yes, she's speedy.
