iTunes 7.0 seems way way slow to me, very nice eye candy, but my CPU usage is through the roof, 75% maintained for iTunes (of course I am updating my iPod, but even before I did that it ran slowly). Is it just me or is anyone else having the same issue. BTW you know my specs:
iBook G4 @ 1.33GHz - 12"
1GB RAM, 40 GB HDD, etc. etc. etc.

i didnt notice it being slow, in fact, i thought it was a bit quicker than 6.0.5 o my iMac..

i didn't check the % usage in activity monitor.. will give it a look after work and see what i find

I'll have to test mine again, I forgot I change settings for my iPod to where its converting the music to 128KBPS if higher for my music, duh, so I remove my last comment. The features are just beautiful, I love having more control over my iPod Shuffle now (I want the match book one :( now ). So yeah it just may be where its converting all my files huh. Sorry guys.

The screens seem to lag, need to move the whole window to get them to update sometimes - 667 G4 - otherwise it's about the same as before but the video playback is much nicer.

iTunes runs faster and it sounds better too. No problems here. Actually, quite smooth and the features are really needed, eg. Coverflow, gapless playback, album art and new XML tags.

12" 867 PB. iTunes 7 is running as smooth as it can on this thing. Doesnt really feel slow.

Once I boot up my Mac Pro, I am sure it will feel different.

Maybe now that I let it analyze all my songs for gapless playback (after constantly being nagged upon opening) it will run faster, but with an iPod connected it takes a long time. Without it, it opens likety split, however I have noticed some serious slowdowns with songs shared over AFP.

Also, when I press the next button too quickly while in cover flow view, the scroll bars become blurry. But, yeah, it's pretty slow over AFP, which is how I use a good portion of my library.
