iTunes 7.3 Countdown

My iTunes 7.3 Countdown is well underway. I estimate a midnight arrival, but if you're in the eastern or central time zones, midnight has passed already. This leaves me with only one guess: midnight pacific time. The absolute latest Apple can hold out would be until 6pm EST, right? Perhaps they'll casually toss it out at some random time during the day, but that would be very un-Apple. Anyone else have any thoughts on this? i.e. Time guesses? What features will be updated?

Im guessing theyll release it like pitch night, maybe 3 or 4am, or else just in the morning like @ 10.

Seems cool, though I'm really expecting something more in the ballpark of ringtones. Either a new iTunes Ringtones store, or a tab to turn purchased songs into ringtones... something iPhone-y otherwise it wouldn't be released along with iPhone itself.

Yes very true...I suspect that there maybe something like that. I think there are going to be a couple more "features" that may just add to the WOW factor through software updates for the release. Well...one could wish anyway

I hope one of the features is with coverflow in full screen mode where you click on the album art and it flips to show the song list like on the iphone

• States you need broadband connection
• Need internet for activation

i find it kind if illogical for the iPhone to come with a CD, you need the internet anyway to activate...
saves Apple money on printing CD's..

I think iTunes 7.3 might be released at the last minute before the iPhone. It's just a feeling. People are going to buy the iPhone, they are going to return home and update to iTunes 7.3 on their Mac or PC.

Was one of the planned features for the original application Coverflow but as of the last revision it was not present. I still prefer the original coverflow to the iTunes integrated version.

It makes sense to make it available before 6pm or they'll be serious bottlenecks as people download it. Of course the real joke will be on the people already in line who will have to go home and download it before they can get their exciting new phone to work.

My Mac Genius friend told me that the iPhone will not include an instruction manual but will include the how to use video,similar to the one we have seen, which may also contain iTunes 7.3

the update is nice i guess. One annoyance though - all of my song/artists that begin with a number are at the bottom of the list now, not the top like they've always been. But the blurry scroll bar is fixed! 'Bout time! Oh and the bar that highlights which part of iTunes you're in (such Movies, Recently Added, Store, etc.) is blue and not black anymore.
