iTunes 7.5 Install Issue

Every time I try to install iTunes 7.5, it gets stuck during the "Validating Install" portion. I cannot figure out why this is happening.

I was thinking of removing iTunes, then reinstalling, however, I do not want to lose my playlists, or my album art. Will these disappear if I remove iTunes from my system??

Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

What operating system are you running? You can uninstall iTunes and then reinstall it without losing your playlists or tracks, if you please. This information is not kept within the application.
