iTunes 7.7 Problem on the Mac!

Downloaded 7.7, and it opened both my wife's and my iTunes libraries. Perused the App Store, etc, very cool.

But now suddenly I get a dialog that says "The file iTunes Library cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes". Great. And yes, it says "newer". What could be newer than 7.7?!

All this happened in a half hour. So now what? We can't access our stuff!!!!

I'm not having that problem BUT I now get the spinning beach ball for a good minute before I can touch anything.

Just found out that my issue is a common one as reported on the Apple Support pages.
