I downgraded my iTunes 7.7 to 7.5.

Problem is, my iTunes library can't be read by 7.5 because it was created by 7.7. What is the way around this? Some kind of script in Terminal, perhaps?

can't you just reimport the music to your itunes library? I'm assuming you were trying to revert your iphone/ipod touch from 2.0 to 1.1.4...

good assumption.

well, i was thinking that if i re-import then will i have doubles of my library? i mean, thats an awful lot of music and hard drive space

I have messed some **** up for reals. I deleted all the old library xml files, the plist, and now my library is blank, but the songs are still in my music folder.

If I just import all the songs, then it must be creating duplicates, because halfway through the process it says my HD doesn't have enough room ( I only have about 13G left). Is there a way for me to recreate the library xml file without importing the songs?
