iTunes 7: OGG and WMA Plans Dropped?

I've just noticed (and mentioned on my blog) that the icons for OGG and WMA disappeared from iTunes' package with version 7.
Has Apple dropped plans to support these formats?

I doubt they ever had plans for supporting them, except for converting unprotected WMA files to AAC on Windows.
Also, HTML tags don't work here.

Then why did they include these icons in the first place?
Decision by the icon's designer to include them?

What puzzles me is that these icons stayed in the iTunes package for so long and now suddenly they disappear.
