I need a videocard upgrade or something; iTunes 7 OGL visualizer is running at half the speed of earlier versions; averaging <15fps.

I agree that the visualiser is different now. I was watchin it last night and was truely AMAZING  . With the crazy stuff it was doing it must work the system a lot more than the previous version.

Runing at 25fps on a 1Ghz iBook G4 with a ton of apps open.
With the "Faster but rougher display" option checked it ran at 35fps.

Edit: This is in fullscreen mode

They've changed the way size is handled. You can select any size (small, medium, or large) and it will fill the entire iTunes window, unlike before. iTunes lowers the resolution, but will blow it up to fill the window's extents.

I get about 60 fps on my 2 GHz MacBook (without the "faster but rougher" option checked).

This visualizer displays much better in fullscreen mode than previous versions.
