Grr. I'm having lots of trouble with video on iTunes 7, but it seems to be QT that's the problem since it won't play them either.

My main library is on my Dell PC (2.8 GHz P4 HT). Streamed video on the 'net plays fine, but anything I attempt to play from my local HDD was pink and green. This applies equally to purchased iTMS video, as well as home movies encoded by iTunes/QT and The files play fine in Nero Showtime or on my iMac.

This morning I downloaded updated video drivers from Nvidia (it's a GeForce 5200) and the pink and green went away, but now I have no frame rate. It looks like I'm getting something like 1 fps, very choppy.

If only Apple has a decent headless box I could upgrade to I'd finally have the motivation to ditch my last home PC... I don't want to buy a new video card just to fix this problem. It was working fine in QT 7.0.x. :(

Possibly related, the couple of TV Show episodes I ripped myself in 480x480 MPEG-4 are no longer getting synced to the iPod.

Grrrr.
