iTunes 8.1 now gives me calendar sync error

Platform: Win XP

Updated to 8.1, did the following:

- did a backup before upgrading to 8.1, all went fine
- disconnected iPhone, updated iTunes to 8.1, rebooted PC
- did a sync and now with 8.1 i get a

"ITunes could not sync calendars to the iPhone "my phone name here" because an error occurred while sending data from the iPhone.

My calandar had one entry so i deleted it ...now has no entries, i dont use Outlook or Mobile Me

i tried the following:
- "reset sync history" from Edit | Preferences | Device
- reboot iPhone

...didn't help ...any ideas ? ...wait for iTunes 8.11 ?

ugh ...wish i knew how to search ...sorry, didnt know there was a post
already....

unfortunately, that thread doesn't help ...i still get the same error
...i did google and seems like quite a few are having this prob with 8.1
