Dear Sirs,

I do have an iPhone 2.1 (pawned) and want to download iTunes 8. Are gonna be problems? Has somebody downloaded it and give me some advice?

Thanks in advance. Always the best forums. Even in crazy days like today.

I believe OP means 2.0.1 (and is part of the problem if OP is on a 3G).

Just try, worst case you'll actually have to upgrade to 2.0.2.

TEG

Agree 2.0.1
2.1 should be out as an upgrade shortly
iTunes 8.0 ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!:)

My fellow american friends.

Of course, it's not 2.1. It's 2.0.1 pawned.

And I do have an iPhone 4GB mit the alu back. It must be on my signature.

Well, I downloaded it. I take a risk. Gonna answer later if there are problems.

Thansk again for this ultimate quick support.

Yes, what's the difference between pwned and pawned? I wrote pawned, because I really don't respect the internet language or ICQ,IM,Facebook. etc. It's a trend I don't want to fit in. It's a pain in the eye, seeing crippled and faulty essays, mails, etc. I like writing the words like they supposed to be.

But I am also here to learn. I think there is a huge difference, right :p ?

Would be great if somebody could consult me here.

Thanks again.

pawn 1 (pôn)
n.
1. Something given as security for a loan; a pledge or guaranty.
2. The condition of being held as a pledge against the payment of a loan: jewels in pawn.
3. A person serving as security; a hostage.
4. The act of pawning.
tr.v. pawned, pawn·ing, pawns
1. To give or deposit (personal property) as security for the payment of money borrowed.

pwned, means owned spelled with a P instead of a O

So you like writing words like they supposed to be????

Gotcha ;)

Hahaha, jesus. Pawn. Did I really wrote pawn???

I remember playing Shen Mue on my Dreamcast. I always went into the pawn shop for some good trade. Now I got it.

But still. I don't get it with pwned spelling it with a p instead of an a. But I think this is new MySpace-FaceBook-Gen, where just acting rebellious is "in". No need to understand.

iTunes works great. I am testing the Genius thing. A bit confused with sending informations to Apple.

i'm just guessing but i think PWNED came about probly when people playing wow accidentally mispelled owned because p is so close to o. and i guess they thought it looked 1337 so they kept using it. just a guess though.

what the hell are you even talking about? its not even supposed to be an 'A'.

It originated pre wow, so no, it isn't a wow phenomenon.

Wow is not the originator of anything. Most things go back to UO, EQ or AC. Somethings even earlier. There is nothing about or from Wow that would be considered a first.

pwned is not a trend. It is the technical term used by the iphone devs to describe breaking the chain of trust on the iPhone to allow non-apple signed code.
