iTunes 8 Can't Read Audio CDs

Hi. Before I got iTunes 8 my computer was able to read commercial audio CDs just fine. Then I downloaded iTunes 8 and immediately afterwards my computer was no longer able to recognize audio CDs. Whenever I insert one it says "This computer cannot read this disc" and gives two options: Ignore or Eject. I have a Core Duo MacBook and now have the latest version of iTunes (8.1). Anyone else having this problem and/or know of a solution?
