I have an iomega network drive which is connected to my macbook wirelessly.

Using iTunes 7 I could at least start iTunes and could access my music library on the network drive. It would not play them due to the samba issues on leopard.

With iTunes 8, it starts, I get the 'Loading iTunes Library' dialog, then............ nothing.

Looking at the Force Quit dialog, it says iTunes is not responding.

Is anyones else experiencing this?

Has anyone fixed it?

I have the same problem. My media is on a Drobo NAS (via DroboShare). I have no solution as of yet.

Well. It seems mine is fixed now after either:

1. Fixing permissions (/Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility - Repair Permissions)
-or-
2. Deleting ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iTunes*.plist

Maybe it'll work for you?

I updated the firmware of the drive and now it works. I can now use iTunes across a wireless network
