iTunes 8 Issues-Ripping CDs

Anyone having trouble with iTunes 8 ripping CDs? I put a CD in that is not in my library-it asks if I want to import-I answer yes, and then nothing.

I have to eject the CD and reinsert it-then it asks again and I answer yes and then it rips it.

Mine's working fine.

Have you tried importing any other cds?

Yeah I ripped 5 different CDs last night and it did it to each one

I found that it didn't do it if I waited until the dialog popped without going to another window (finder, safari, etc.) it worked fine, but if I put the CD in and went and did something else and then hit "rip" then it disappeared and then disappeared for every disc after that. I'm not sure why.

Weird!

It's an old bug that existed in 7.0+ as well. You can use Disk Utility to re-mount the CD when it disappears instead of ejecting and re-inserting.

Thanks for the tip-I don't remember having this problem in 7.X
