I just stumbled across this on a forum:

itunes8ig2.jpg

I copied it to clipboard then checked again and the entire thread was gone! What do people think? I say fake, but that looks like a nice iTunes scheme anyway!

colour scheme looks too much like Windows media player. I don't think they will be changing iTunes now they have a unified theme to all there consumer apps. I say fake!

Looks skinned somehow. It's not in conjunction with the overall OS theme.

It doesn't look too bad I suppose, but it won't be iTunes 8.

You can have all the Photoshopping in the world, but if you can't get your type right, then it's easy to spot the fakes or wishful thinking.

Check out the difference between the lower-case 'a' in that picture and the one here.

Apple's version of Myriad Pro doesn't look like that. Nice try but not quite up to spec. ;)

Woah, good catch. :D

Or you could just remember that Leopard trumps its new unified GUI, and so this would go completely against that.

Don't forget that iTunes traditionally stands out from the rest...even now it has different scrollbars...

I still contend we'll see an iTunes 8.0 software soon after MacOS X 10.5 comes out--the new iTunes will take full advantage of the new features of "Leopard."

They generally use iTunes to field test new UI elements and styles.

On topic, though, this is obviously fake.
