Hello everyone,
Here's what I am running so you guys have all the info you need.
Macbook Pro 17 inch
Mac OS X Version 10.5.6
I also have a small Window's Vista partition.
Ok, here we go. I have been running Itunes on this computer on the mac side not the windows side for the life of the computer, about five months no. I have never had any problems with Itunes untill a few days ago. I clicked on the icon and it did not bounce, but the little light under it lit up. The program never opened. I had a few friends with mac's take a look at it and they had no clue how to fix it. So i tried the basics, I restarted multiple times, checked for updates, nothing worked. So I uninstalled it, and reinstalled it several times tonight and I am still having the same problem. The program never opens and it always says "Itunes (not responding)".
I have check the Activity Monitor to see if it was an issue with my hard disc space. I 96.41GB availible on my mac hard disc so I didn't think that would be the source of the problem. Then I saw that I had the ability to check the Itunes 8 Disc Usage and the circle is entirely blue. It says Space Utilized 76.80 MB and says I have 4.00 KB available. Now I figure this must be part of the problem but I do not know how to clear that space as it isn't a hard drive. I really just want my Itunes to work, I miss my music and need to update my Ipod terribly.
I hope one of you can help me out with my problem, I really don't want to drive back to New Jersey to go to the Apple Store and wait in a line for hours.
Thanks much for the help, any help is appreciated.
