why do they say itunes 9 is going to support blue ray dosent 8 allready do? since 8.1 if you go to about itunes it says it supports blue ray or im mistaken?

You are mistaken, if you go into the apple store you can download "HD" movies and so forth from the store but you can not play bluray. You may ask why is this important then if we can already watch "HD" well for one thing there so called "HD" is only 720p and another thing is that this 720p video of theres is very low in terms of bitrate when compared to bluray which means even though it is 720p it is not as good as it could be.

This was discussed a long time ago. The Blu-ray reference in the 'About iTunes' is part of the disclaimer for Apple's usage of the Gracenote DB for automatic music labelling.
