When do you think it will turn up and what would you like to see in iTunes 8?

i was actually expecting to see iTunes 8 with the iPod releases earlier this month.

my guess is it'll come out with Leopard.

Can't really think of anything they could add to iTunes. Maybe except Cover Flow as the standard way of browsing your music. Kinda like the iPhone/iPod Touch interface, you click on the album art and it flips over and so on... But other than that can't think of anything...

Yeah I said add, not fix :p Anyways, I have not experienced that before. Maybe because I don't move my library often. Though ogg-vorbis support would be nice

Yeah I read what that guy wrote but didn't mention it just in case didn't like what he said despite all of it being true!

iTunes Store Rental Service for movies

HD media in iTunes Music Store

Cover Flow improvements ala click the album and it turns over ala iPhone, iPod Touch/Classic/Nano

I think those are the safest assumptions

Ah right, well I wouldn't mind a search option or some sort of method of manually applying album art from iTMS.

I personally think that Apple should "pull off an iMovie '08" with the next version of iTunes, as it has become Apple's most bloated app. Regardless of what users think of iMovie '08, the point here is that Apple should just throw away the current version of iTunes and get a fresh start. It's just a mess.

How do you mean Cover Art a la Classic, touch?

On the iPhone and the new iPods, when viewing album art in Cover Flow, you tap on the artwork and the list of songs for that album appears. In iTunes, when you click an album in Cover Flow, the songs appear below as a list.

It's just a mess.

Can you elaborate? I actually think iTunes is a pretty well-engineered piece of software. It's a tad bloated but I've never had any problems with it.
