After downloading iTunes 9.2, my iPhone 3G and iPod are no longer recognized when trying to sync.

In addition, I can no longer login to the iTunes store from our laptop (Toshiba running Vista).

I receive the following error when logging in:
We could not complete your iTunes store request. An unexpected error occured (-9808).

There was an error in the iTunes store. Please try again later.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I cannot find information relating to this issue specifically and the only fix I've seen is to uninstall/reinstall and I'd like to avoid that if possible.
