iPod touch iTunes 9 and 2g Touch Not Talking?

I recently upgrades iTunes from 8.0.2 to the iTunes 9.0 (70). Ok, no big deal, it looks weird, but i can deal. However, when attempting to sync my iPod Touch 2g, my macbook would not recognize my ipod or even charge it for that matter.

Is anyone else having this problem or even found a solution for it?

Put the device into Recovery mode, and do a restore in iTunes maybe?
