itunes 9 and airport express - bad sound quality

The sound via airport express has changed with itunes 9. It lacks power, midrange and bass. I am going back to itunes 8. :rolleyes:
 
Is it possible you had the equalizer turned on with iTunes 8 and with iTunes 9, it's off by default?
 
Before you downgrade to iTunes 9, make sure your Express' firmware is updated fully (7.4.2 I think), and try reconfiguring it after a hard reset. After reconfiguring the Express, connect a pair of headphones to it to make sure its not an issue with the stereo that coincided with the update. Also update your iPhone to 3.1 if you haven't already.

I have the latest firmware. I don't see how updating my firmware on the iphone should help. My iphone is JB.
I guees I wil have to wait for 9.0.1 then.
