hey All,

Ive had Remote working with my iMacs iTunes for quite some time now, and its a bad mofo of an app. I recently moved into a friend of mines place and he has his own iTunes library on his Vista, and a WiFi network.

Wanting to control his iTunes library with my iTouches Remote app, i performed the necessary steps.

Went into Remote, went to Settings > Add Library
It gives me a passcode, and sure enough it appears in the Devices list on the left side.
I click it and input the 4 digit passcode.
It waits.
And waits.
And then nothing.

it erases the passcode, stays on the passcode screen, and the library failed to add.
Trying it again numerous times, even refreshing the passcode yeilds no improvement to progress here.

The WiFi Firewall and the Windows firewall is off, and all applicable ports have been forwarded.

Whats happening here? You know, an error message of some type would be great... but i get nothing :\

-------------------------------------------------
EDIT: Of course, immediately after finishing this thread, something finally works.
I tried it one more time, this time it accepted the passcode (almost immediately) and recognized the device.
NOW whats happening is if i try to connect to the library, it can no longer find it, and appears as an empty grey option on the library list to connect to.

wtf?
--------------------------
EDIT2: Ok so NOW its no longer a grey empty box in the Library selection screen, it has the name of the library in it. But its still greyed out and wont find the library...

any ideas?
