Can someone explain to me the point of the new genius mix feature? How is it different from shuffle on a particular genre in the old iTunes?
 
While it may seem that way, it's really not. A lot of songs in my "Rock Mix"es aren't labeled as rock. What it does is takes songs that are upbeat and driving and groups them together, for example. It's all based off Apple's database from people's iTunes library.

I just wish I had a bit more control over it; like specifying what kind of mix I want.
 
It's probably going to take a while for these mixes to mature.

Right now, I'm getting the same small set of groups turn up in any particular "Mix". The idea is fantastic, but I'll wait a while until whatever DJ pixies Apple have employed get into their groove...
