iTunes 9 in Windows: Is the click lag still there?

While I'm excited about the new features (especially iPhone app screen management), I'm wondering if they fixed the overall slowness of the app on Windows. I'm tired of clicking on "Applications" or my device and waiting 7 seconds for the screen to change. Anyone on Windows notice any general UI speed improvements ?

That's what I figured. They would have to rewrite the app from the ground up to fix it. Its really annoying when you're trying to do a simple thing like grab and slide the scrollbar and its click, click, click, click.
