I can't seem to figure this out. I authorized both my computers (G5 & MBP) and want to import just the music from my G5 to my MPB. I just reformatted my MBP so there is nothing in its iTunes library.

Now how do I just import the music? I have over 500 gb of Movies and TV Shows on my G5 and iTunes is trying to import all that over.

Is this possible, if not I will just use an external - I thought I would give this new feature a go.

Now how do I just import the music?

Under Home Sharing > the computer with the music on it.

Find the music you want to import, select it and then press the 'Import' button at the bottom.

This 'feature' does not impress me. I can copy my music perfectly well without iTunes help. What I want is to better access a communal repository of music in my home. A Library with more than one source? Or a better shared central library.

iTunes 10, maybe 11

It's not easy to just "drag the music over" since ALL my movies/tv shows appear in the library with the music. Going through and selecting only the music and not the TV/Shows would take too much time.

I respectfully disagree.
