iTunes a little sluggish

hey all, i got itunes 10.2.2 on a 2011 imac, while scrolling through the library which is 6GB of music, the scrolling isnt super smooth, do i need to remove some itunes file from the system folders to fix this slowness in itunes or just let it be and wait for appe to release 10.2.3 perhaps which would fix it by itself?

Try repairing permissions/verifying permissions. I have 106GB of music in my iTunes library, and my scrolling is smooth. I have the base 2011 iMac 21". I haven't upgraded the RAM or HDD yet.

Also is all your software up to date? I just bought mine and there were a ton of updates, such as an EFI firmware and such.

Try restarting your computer if it's been on a while (2+ weeks). There can be memory leaks that build up over time and make your computer run slowly (happens to me).

I have a 69GB iTunes library on my 2009 iMac and I can scroll smoothly through it so it really shouldn't a problem.
