Hi,
I currently live in Germany and have a German credit card. I wanted to open an account on iTunes with my credit card and have iTunes in english (I don'"t speak German) but it told me that I have to chose Germany as the country. I fear than if I do so, my account language will be just German.

Is there a way to go around this ?

regards,
Tex

I currently live in Germany & I don't speak German
I suggest you leave Germany then if you don't speak it.

Nope no way around it (as German is what is spoken in Germany) unless you get iTunes gift cards from UK or USA and open an iTunes account that way.

I have an Austrian iTunes-account and even though my system language is English, the Store is in German. Haven't found a way to change that yet.

Well I've just opened the account, I wanted to buy a song but it says that it's not available in the German store :(

Thanks for you suggestion but I will not leave Germany just 'cos I don't speak German. I'm learning German but I don't feel comfortable with it yet.
Did you read the rest?

cant tell if your joking or not. But some people have to live in a country for reasons beyond their control. Also some people want to learn about other places.
I was serious no I was joking no serious no joking I have no idea if I was or not.

yep, I also didn't really understand his comment. I came to to Berlin because it is a amazing city and very nice to live.

What did you not understand was this:

It means get a UK or US iTunes Gift Card of ebay and redeem it at either US or US store (Depending on iTunes Gift Card you get) and you have an english account.

ok thanks pple for your advices. I'm heading to an Apple store to get my self a new iPod nano (my 1st iPod ;) )

cheers,
Tex
