i was on my late 2013 iMac on Saturday flicking through iTunes when i thought i was deleting some playlists that I'm not sure how i came by but i was in fact deleting my entire iTunes library all 28000 songs of it.
so it was there in the trash but only 2000 songs so i tried to retrieve it direct from the trash without success so i copied it all to a folder in documents and got the 2000 back.
but where has the other 26000 gone ? i have a time machine backup so i went back in time to before the deletion and thought i'd found an older version of iTunes so i restored from there .
it said it was restoring 40404 songs i thought there must be a ton of duplicates and was going to take 3 hrs to complete but now its restored it the iTunes library still only has 2000 songs in it .
so anyone any idea where my songs are and how do i get them back ?
