Well I tried Apple Support and when I followed their instructions, it made things worse.
I have two iTunes accounts. abc@gmail.com and abc@me.com. I don't use the abc@me.com for anything purchase related since I've been using the abc@gmail.com account since I started using iTunes.
Once upon a time, I wanted the receipts for abc@gmail.com to be emailed directly to abc@me.com so I went in Account Settings and changed my Primary Email to abc@me.com. Although I understand this will not work these days, when I did this, it took it and I've been receiving my emails there.
All in all, a year later I have had problems with abc@me.com and I'm going back to abc@gmail.com. Easy, just change my Primary Email back, right? Wrong.
On My Apple ID, it says that abc@me.com still hasn't been verified but when I tell it to resend the email, it says the email is already verified to another iTunes account...which is true. If I click Edit and change it to abc@gmail.com no matter what Save button I hit, nothing happens. If I leave them blank, it tells me to enter some information.
In iTunes trying to change the Primary Email nets me a "We are we cannot process your request, please try again later."
iTunes Support told me to change my entire Apple ID to another email I use. I tried that and it changed by my Primary Email was still abc@me.com. After a couple of hours, I changed it back to abc@gmail.com. This was all done in My Apple ID.
Tonight I noticed I had some apps to update so I went to update them. After entering my login info, it says my email is not verified and to click OK for instructions. When I click Ok, it tells me it will send an email but then has the error that the email is already verified to another iTunes account.
Now here's the really sucky part. I now get this prompt any time I try to access my account info or make purchases in iTunes, Mac App Store, etc. Once it complains that the email is already verified elsewhere, it drops me out and does not go through with my purchase or upgrade.
Sorry for the book but I'm hoping someone has an idea how to kick start the system into doing SOMETHING cause I'm losing hope. lol
