itunes - airplay to express - optical out not working?

Hey,

I just upgraded to the most recent itunes... it seems that my airport express setup no longer works....

I have an older (a/g) airport express, and to that i use the optical out to my DAC. Currently when i try to play from my express it tells me that there are no speakers hooked up to it!

anyone else have this problem?

When I upgraded Airport Express to version 7.5.2 my optical out stopped working (the analog out works fine). Very frustrating since I have a nice external DAC. So I guess I now have to figure out how to downgrade... Why apple, why?
