iTunes alternatives

So, I was reading this this thread about alternatives to the iOS Music app. The core principle of these apps seems to be it just reads the Music info on the phone already and presents differently.

I'd love this for Mac. I am genreally happy with iTunes. It's great (for me, at least!) for making playlists and editing the library. But it is a dollop when it comes to just playing music. Is there an iTunes Music Player?

I have been reading about for alternatives and they seem to want you to ditch iTunes and start a new library, and I'm not at that point yet. Just would like a lightweight player of my iTunes database.

Try looking/searching on MacUpdate.com. I'm sure there's something available in the U.K. that you can use.
