I've been minutes away from purchasing an album on iTunes 4 times over the past 3 weeks and then I told myself to go check out Amazon's MP3 site to see if it was discounted.

Jay-Z - Blueprint 3 ($17 iTunes) / ($6 Am) Purchased on iTunes because I wanted to try the LP feature.
Kid Cudi - Man on the Moon ($12 iTunes - Deluxe) / ($6 Am - Deluxe)
Paramore - Brand New Eyes ($15 iTunes - Deluxe) / ($4 Am)
Mariah Carey - Memoirs ($13 iTunes) / ($6 Am)

I'll admit, I'm a fanboy of Apple, so I try to keep things in house, but you can't beat paying $5-$10 less per album if it's offered. Why isn't the pricing the same on both sites? Also, Amazon even adds the music to iTunes. LOL I found that to be hilarious...

Wow that is kinda bad. You would think Apple would price their stuff somewhat competitively... I didn't check but sometimes albums bought on iTunes comes with a music video and other things, does that come on the amazon version?

You're right, the albums on Amazon don't come with videos.

crazy - going to DL albums from Amazon more now.

so how does it work anyway? just download it to your disk and import into iTunes?

Amazon has a downloader app that will import it into iTunes automatically for you.

Correct! It doesn't get any easier.

If you all want to save a few bucks and if you don't mind missing out on the videos that you get w/ the Deluxe Editions on iTunes, I highly suggest checking out Amazon before you purchase a CD on iTunes.

good to know, could really care less about the videos anyway.

Which is why I gave up on iTunes as soon as Amazon mp3 came to the uk.

However, unlike iTunes Amazon won't let me buy anything since I'm currently in Austria. Very, very unimpressed by that.

the last 3 songs i bought were from amazon. I didnt download any special program to connect it to itunes..they just appeared in my itunes file by themselves..whatever

but i paid 99 for them and apple had it at 1.29. heck... its kind of like buy 4 get 1 free. pretty good deal to me
