I have a question about my iTunes setup. I have a hard drive plugged into my AirPort Express, which is home to my iTunes video collection (about 1 TB). I do this instead of plugging it into my Mac because I own a MacBook Air and rarely use it at my desk. My music collection is stored locally on my Air's hard drive. The other day I returned from a weekend away to find that most (but not all) of my videos had the little exclamation point icon next to them, meaning that iTunes couldn't locate the file. Frustrating! I tried playing one of these files, and after a minute of the spinning pinwheel, it began playing just fine. I was thinking that perhaps the Air had tried to find the files when I was using it away from my apartment, or something. So my questions are, is there any way to avoid this? (My AirPort Extreme is logged in with my MobileMe account, which means that the hard drive shows up in the Finder even when I'm not on my local network - so I'm not sure why the Air "lost" the location of the files to begin with. But if this is going to happen every time I leave, I'd like to avoid it because it's super annoying). Also, now that about 90% of my video files have the annoying "!" next to them, is there a way for the Air to find them all at once? Having to start playing each file would take ages..
Any help would be appreciated!
