My boyfriend and I would like to transfer our itunes to an External hard drive. So it would be tow seperate itunes accounts we are transferring. Will it work? Or due to contracting will it not allow it? Thanks for your help in advance.

I'm lost you are trying to take one iTunes library and split into two different ones on an external?
Your best bet is to have separate libraries and transfer each to the external HD as an individual entity. Then link each iTunes account to its respective library. You can have each separate iTunes account linked to the same library, but in my experience it can cause so much hassle it ain't worth it.
