All of a sudden my apple help systems arent working. they just show nothing.help!

So for example, when you click on help (on the menu bar) and then Safari Help, nothing happens?

If so, do the usual. Repair permissions, restart, and we'll see what else can be done after that. I'm sure there's some preference file that can be trashed.

dummy here.how do i repair permissions. what basically happens is the help window opens but there is nothing in the window. in itunes or mail.

To repair permissions, open the Disk Utility (in the Utilites folder inside the Applications folder). Select the startup disk then select repair disk permissions.

That's usually the starting point for solving most problems.

Good Luck.

repairing these permissions wont disturb any of my data will it?

Repairing permissions is fairly benign, but since other stuff is going on...maybe take this opportunity to backup your data just incase the problem decides to escalate.

well repaired the permissions and it has resolved the problem partly
finders help has fixed itself.
still missing help from itunes and safari

You have restarted the system, right?

I saw a couple posts about resetting the help system a while back, but I can't find them.

yes i have restarted the system.i mean its not urgent because mac rumours gives me all my help but its annoying.i like everything to work properly
