i have, or should i say had 100Gb of music on an external hard drive. I 'pointed' iTunes at it. and although a bit slow, this seemed to work fine.

That hard drive has broken. and although it may be possible to repair it, I'm currently left without music.

My iTunes library shows the music but each item has a (!) next to it, as obviously it cant find it

Some of this music was purchased from the iTunes store, some not, but i did pay for iTunes match.

I've got a new hard drive.
so my question is , is it possible to re-download ALL of this music even the stuff i didn't buy in the iTunes store. Ive accumulated this over years and it would nearly impossible to replace.

trying not to panic! i cant think straight;-)

thanks in advance for any help.

I personally do not have iTunes match, but have read a fair bit on it. I'm 90% sure you should be able to re-download anything that was matched.

Hopefully this will keep your hopes up until someone else can provide further support!
