Itunes and Iphone not synching genres correctly...

I am running iTunes v11.3.1.2 (latest version) and trying to synch with a iPhone 5s on a windows machine.

I have changed the genre on a few tracks, so tracks by the same artist are listed as acoustic, classic rock, ect.....;

Everything looks fine in iTunes, when I synch them to the phone it ignores the changes and groups all the tracks by artist and not the genre.

It seems as though the media player on the iphone can only group by artist?
